Who Are We?

Nestled among rolling hills and fields in Wildwood, Mo. Fahr Greenhouse has 75,000 square feet of greenhouses and three acres of outdoor production. In a day an age when the small grower is almost obsolete, we are a family owned grower and have been in business for over 50 years.  Dorothy and Leonard Fahr established Fahr Greenhouse in 1950 and the business is still operated by family members Patrick and Mary Bellrose, and Larry Fahr.

Fahr Greenhouse has been an innovative grower of quality sustainable plants even before the term “sustainable” became a popular term.

From the very beginning, Fahr Greenhouse has prioritized growing beautiful plants in an environment that utilizes both science and environmentally responsible practices. Growing and caring for plants in a sustainable environment is not an easy task, but we are committed to growing local flowers that stand out from mass-produced enterprises.  When visitors, customers and friends tour our property they understand how valuable our product is when they see vibrant, flourishing and durable homegrown plants.

Our Mission

To produce quality plants that completely satisfy the end-user so that they will continue to buy plants from us in the future. To fulfill this mission Fahr Greenhouses has set the following goals:
  • Attempt to educate ALL of our customers on how to get the best use out of the product they are buying.
  • To produce a product that is of the highest quality.
  • To deliver the product to the customer exactly how and when they want it.
